الصَّبْرُ فُنِي فِيكَ وَوَجْدِي باقي
O you, the moon shining across the horizons,
O you with the radiant moon-face in the firmament
Patience for you is spent, yet my longing remains.
My patience in you is spent, though my passion remains

How often the scorpion of your temples stings me! I hope
How your cheek's scorpion stings me! May it graciously allow
you will grant me the antidote from your mouth.
Me to find the antidote in you to its poison and pain
