إِنِّي لَفِي كَنفِ مَوْلىً جُودُ رَاحَتِهِ

إِنِّي لَفِي كَنفِ مَوْلىً جُودُ رَاحَتِهِ

كَمْ رَاحَةٍ وَصَلَتْ مِنْهُ لإِنْسانِ

كَمْ رَاحَةٍ وَصَلَتْ مِنْهُ لإِنْسانِ

I am indeed under the protection of a patron with a generous palm;

In the care of a generous Lord is my refuge,

how much comfort has come from him to people!

Whose gifts to mankind are bountiful and free.

ما أَسْكَتَتْنِي بِالمَعْرُوفِ مِنْهُ يَدٌ

ما أَسْكَتَتْنِي بِالمَعْرُوفِ مِنْهُ يَدٌ

إِلّا وَسَرَّحَ تَسْرِيحاً بِإِحْسَانِ

إِلّا وَسَرَّحَ تَسْرِيحاً بِإِحْسَانِ

No hand of his has silenced me with kindness

No hand with kindness has ever silenced me,

without his granting me a gracious release.

But he discharged my debts with utmost grace.
