Hey, bough, swaying with coy grace,

Do you not fear breaking when the wind blows?

And will you not fear God and strive for fairness?

Grant the hearts justice against the glances of your eyes.

How long will killing people be lawful in your eyes?

Everyone has repented; when will your eye repent?

But my heart, O tender beloved, cannot be sold.

I cannot give it, even if you ask me for a share.

I testify that in beauty you have surpassed imagination.

And your beauty is your flaw—if your beauty has any flaws.

The sun of beauty rises in your countenance.

And in your smile you gather all that is loved.

The fault lies in me; there is no fault in you.

Your raincloud heads north, while mine heads south.
