حَصَلتُI have reached مِنَthrough الهَوىlove بِكَfor you فيin مَحَلٍa state
حَصَلتُ مِنَ الهَوى بِكَ في مَحَلٍ
يُساويmakes equal بَينَbetween قُربِكَyour nearness وَالفِراقُand separation
يُساوي بَينَ قُربِكَ وَالفِراقُ
Through love for you, I have reached a state
where your nearness and separation are the same.
فَلَوso if واصَلتyou joined me ماnot نَقَصَlessened اِشتِياقيmy longing
فَلَو واصَلت ما نَقَصَ اِشتِياقي
كَماjust as لَوif بِنتَyou departed ماnot زادَincreased اِشتِياقيmy longing
كَما لَو بِنتَ ما زادَ اِشتِياقي
So, were you to join me, my longing would not lessen,
just as, were you to depart, my longing would not grow.
