مَنwho لِوَجديfor my anguish وَحيرَتيand my bewilderment وَاِفتِقاريand my need
مَن لِوَجدي وَحيرَتي وَاِفتِقاري
وَلذليand for my humiliation وَغُربَتيand my estrangement وَاِنكِساريand my brokenness
وَلذلي وَغُربَتي وَاِنكِساري
Who will help me in my anguish, my bewilderment, and my need,
Who will find my passion and confusion, my need
And in my humiliation, my estrangement, and my brokenness?
My misery and exile, my defeat?

وَهُموم تَجيءُ وَسَط النَهار
A fright in the morning and another in the evening,
Anxiety comes at dawn and dusk
And worries that come in the middle of the day.

Perhaps the Merciful will allow, one day
My escape from the depths of the torrent.
My escape from the raging currents
