فَما اِسمي في الوُجود وَما اِعتِباري

What, then, is my name in existence, and what is my standing?

So my name is naught, my worth is naught

And what might my worth be, and what is my station?

My status low, my place as nought

اقلّ مِن الأَقلّ إِذا اِختَبَرتُم

اقلّ مِن الأَقلّ إِذا اِختَبَرتُم

وُجودي بَل أَذُلّ مِن الأَذلّ

وُجودي بَل أَذُلّ مِن الأَذلّ

Less than the least, if you examine

Less than the least, when put to test

My existence—nay, more abject than the most abject.

My being, nay, still lower than the least
