And what good is a beautiful woman who draws near,

while generosity is far removed from her character?

Yet her character is still far from virtuous

تَزورك عِندَ مُنصرف الثُريا

She visits you when the Pleiades are setting,

Who visits when riches abound

and morning has gathered up night’s forelock.

And departs at night’s end with the dawn’s first light
