أَلانَ استَقَرَّ المُلكُ في مُستَقَرِّهِ

أَلانَ استَقَرَّ المُلكُ في مُستَقَرِّهِ

وَعادَ لِعُرفٍ أَمرُهُ المُتَنَكِّرُ

وَعادَ لِعُرفٍ أَمرُهُ المُتَنَكِّرُ

Now sovereignty has settled in its proper place,

Now the kingdom is settled in its abode

And its once-unrecognizable state has returned to familiar order.

And its errant authority returns to custom

طَريدٌ تَلافاهُ يَزيدٌ بِرَحمَةٍ

طَريدٌ تَلافاهُ يَزيدٌ بِرَحمَةٍ

فَلَم يُمسِ مِن نَعمائِهِ يَتَعَذَّرُ

فَلَم يُمسِ مِن نَعمائِهِ يَتَعَذَّرُ

An exile whom Yazid rescued with mercy,

Yazid, with mercy, pursues its refugee

Nor did he make excuses for withholding his bounty.

So it touches not his bounty and makes excuse
