وَلَو كانَ بَذلُ المَالِ وَالجُودِ مُخلِدا

وَلَو كانَ بَذلُ المَالِ وَالجُودِ مُخلِدا

مِن الناسِ إِنساناً لَكُنتَ المُخَلَّدا

مِن الناسِ إِنساناً لَكُنتَ المُخَلَّدا

And if giving wealth and generosity could grant immortality

Were lavish giving and generosity to grant

To anyone among humankind, you would be the one made immortal.

A man eternity, you would be immortal.

فَأُقسِمُ لا أَنفَكُّ مَا عِشتُ شاكِراً

فَأُقسِمُ لا أَنفَكُّ مَا عِشتُ شاكِراً

لِنُعماكَ مَا طارَ الحمامُ وَغَرَّدا

لِنُعماكَ مَا طارَ الحمامُ وَغَرَّدا

So I swear I shall never cease, as long as I live, to be grateful

I swear, so long as I live, grateful thanks

For your bounty, as long as doves fly and sing.

For your favors will flow as the doves coo and sing.
