وَإِنِّي لأَستَحييكُمُ أَن يَقودَني

وَإِنِّي لأَستَحييكُمُ أَن يَقودَني

إِلى غَيرِكُم مِن سائِرِ الناسِ مَطمَعُ

إِلى غَيرِكُم مِن سائِرِ الناسِ مَطمَعُ

And I am indeed ashamed before you that I should be led

I am shy before you that others besides you

to anyone but you among the rest of mankind by hope of gain,

Would entice my hopes of gain

وَأَن أجتَدي لِلنَفعِ غَيرَكَ مِنهُمُ

وَأَن أجتَدي لِلنَفعِ غَيرَكَ مِنهُمُ

وَأَنتَ إِمامٌ لِلبَريّةِ مَقنَعُ

وَأَنتَ إِمامٌ لِلبَريّةِ مَقنَعُ

and that I should seek bounty for gain from any of them but you,

That I seek benefit from others than you

while you are a leader in whom all creation finds contentment.

While you are the leader of mankind, well-pleased
