وَكَيفَ تُرَجّي الوَصلَ مِنها وَأَصبَحَت

ذُرى وَرِقان دونَها وَحَفيرُ

And how can you hope for union with her, when now

How can you hope for union with one who is

Wariqan’s peaks and Hafir stand between you and her?

Ashes and dust beneath the earth, in a grave?
