Gone is the time when you were the tail end of its people.

And you won a blessing—may its pool dry up for you!

Yes, you have indeed been made vizier through ignorance; so what

can be sought from the world, when you are its vizier?

So a state has no standing, O son of the baseborn,

when you are its man of standing, to the chagrin of noble virtues.
