    لكنّه بكتمرُ

    باب ندى مشمرُ

    His honor laid bare, he has

    a gate of bounty laid bare,

  4. أطيب من فيه وذا

    لا شكّ فيه مَبعَرُ

    more fragrant than his mouth—and this

    is, without doubt, a dung-hole.

  5. نتانة خُصَّ بِها

    ما كُلُّ بغَّا أبخَرُ
