ما لفتى الصاحب لا الصاحب

يشقصه وتظهر العجائبُ

يشقصه وتظهر العجائبُ

What is the matter with the Sahib’s young man? May the Sahib not

The friend betrays his friend,

diminish him; wonders appear

Revealing wonders strange.

بلحيةٍ يضرط منها الشارب

بلحيةٍ يضرط منها الشارب

ونكهةِ بنتنِها يعاقِبُ

ونكهةِ بنتنِها يعاقِبُ

in a beard from which the moustache farts,

With beard from which the drinker sips

and in breath whose stench he uses to punish.

And stench for which he pays.
