O Zayn al-Din, may you endure, for you are rain,
O Azzadin, may you remain, for you are a cloud
By which we live when we behold its showers.
With whose drops we live when we smell its rain

You were created to tighten friendship's cord, bitter
You created a pass of the rope of love smoothly
Toward enemies, honey-sweet in speech.
Towards enemies, sweetly worded

Your right hand is a blessing to a gift-seeking petitioner,
Your right hand is a blessed right hand
Just as your left has ever been his prosperity.
Just as your left has not ceased being dexterous

The cheerfulness of your face speaks openly of gifts
Your cheerful face proclaims gifts
When one who hopes in you hints with a gesture.
When a suitor gestures to you with a hint

Your promises never lead to waiting,
Your promises do not lead to waiting
And your branch never loses its freshness.
Your promises are not turned from blossoming
فكارتكso your bundle الهنيةpleasant مثلlike كرّa large grain measure
وكرand a large grain measure سواكof someone other than you عندwith المطلdelay in payment كارهa bundle
So your pleasant bundle is like a kurr of grain,
Your thoughts are like a generous purse
While another's kurr, when delayed, is merely a bundle.
And a purse other than yours is stingy when watched

Have you no enemy other than your wealth?
Do you have an enemy other than your possessions?
For every morning you launch a raid against it.
For every morning you wage war on him

إذاwhen البخلاءthe misers عدوناreckoned us خسارهa loss
You reckoned gifts to poets a gain,
I counted the eulogies of poets as profits
When the misers reckoned us a loss.
When the misers count them as losses

By your life, Time never inflicts injustice
By your life, time will never wrong
Through calamity upon anyone whose neighbor you have become.
Anyone under your protection

You have indeed become the gathering-place of every excellence,
You have become the place of all merit
So you are a basin for every flowing stream.
So you are the resolution for every beseecher
