  1. وقالوا للطبيب آشرفانا

    نعدك للعظيم من الأمور

    And they said to the physician Ashrafana,

    “We reserve you for the gravest of matters.”

  2. فقال شفاؤه الرمان مما

    تضمنه حشاه من السعير

    He said, “Pomegranates will cure him of

    the blazing fire his innards harbor.”

  3. فقلت لهم أصاب بغير قصد

    ولكن ذاك رمان الصدور

    So I told them, “He was right without intending it,

    but those are the pomegranates of bosoms.”
