A king upon whom rests a robe of majesty;
A king robed in majesty
Time wears out, but its secret is renewed.
Time passes yet his grandeur grows

ونَسِيجُهم ضَافٍ رَفِيعٌ جَيِّدٌ
Those who show care wove its yarn for him,
Those devoted to his care wove his mantle
And their fabric is ample, fine, and excellent.
Their weaving strong and good

Through a sign that came like a radiant dawn,
At his gesture dawn breaks bright
In its truth, while its radiance keeps increasing.
Truth and light within him swell

He inherited sovereignty, great man from great man.
He inherited supreme rule mightily
Of Arab stock, rare, proven in the twisted cord (wording obscure).
An Arab, strange yet sound

May he ever rise at the pinnacle of glories,
Ever rising to the peak of glory
And his enemy be miserable in opposing them.
His enemies recoil, despairing, cowed
