لا تحقِرنَّ الرأيَ وهو موافقٌ

حُكمَ الصوابِ إِذا أتَى من ناقصِ

Do not scorn an opinion when it accords

With sound judgment, even if it comes from someone deficient.

فالدُّرُ وهو أجلُّ شَيءٍ يُقْتَنَى

فالدُّرُ وهو أجلُّ شَيءٍ يُقْتَنَى

ما حَطَّ قيمتَهُ هوانُ الغائصِ

ما حَطَّ قيمتَهُ هوانُ الغائصِ

For the pearl, the most precious thing one can possess,

Is not diminished in worth by the diver’s lowly standing.
