    يُضِيءُ ورائي نورُه وأمامي

    Behold, knowledge lies stored between my sides;

    its light shines behind me and before me.

    A remnant of the truthful ones' knowledge, and of what was brought

    by the messengers; in it lies a cure for every ailment.

    The keys to God's knowledge on earth—whoever wins

    them with his hand attains every aim.

    So if I live, I shall gain dominion whose like has never been held

    by the two hands of any valiant king in all the worlds.

    And if I die with regret before attaining it—

    for how many regrets dwell in the souls of the noble!
