وَضَيفَين جاءا مِن بَعيد فَقَرَّبا

وَضَيفَين جاءا مِن بَعيد فَقَرَّبا

عَلى فَرَسٍ حَتّى اِستَراحَ كِلاهُما

عَلى فَرَسٍ حَتّى اِستَراحَ كِلاهُما

And two guests came from afar, then cantered

Two guests came from afar, so we drew them near

On a horse until both found rest.

On a steed, until both could rest here

قَريناهُما ثُمَّ اِنتَزَعنا قِراهُما

قَريناهُما ثُمَّ اِنتَزَعنا قِراهُما

لِضَيفَينِ جاءا مِن بَعيدٍ سِواهُما

لِضَيفَينِ جاءا مِن بَعيدٍ سِواهُما

We fed them both, then took away their fare

We hosted them, then took away their provisions

For two other guests who came from afar.

For two guests who came from afar, none else but them
