أخوكَ هلالُ العيدِ عادَتْ سعودُهُ

أخوكَ هلالُ العيدِ عادَتْ سعودُهُ

يحاكيكَ منهُ نورُهُ وصُعودُهُ

يحاكيكَ منهُ نورُهُ وصُعودُهُ

Your brother, the Eid crescent—its good fortunes have returned;

Your brother is the new moon of Eid, his prosperity has returned

Its radiance and ascent mirror you.

His light and ascent resemble you

فأفْطِرْ على دهرِ بعينك ناظرٍ

فأفْطِرْ على دهرِ بعينك ناظرٍ

وأبشِرْ بعيدٍ مورقٍ لك عودُهُ

وأبشِرْ بعيدٍ مورقٍ لك عودُهُ

So break your fast in an age that sees through your eyes,

So break your fast with eyes that see

And rejoice in an Eid whose bough grows green for you.

And receive good news of his blossoming return

وعيَّدتَ يا مَنْ للمعالي قيامُهُ

وعيَّدتَ يا مَنْ للمعالي قيامُهُ

وللفضلِ والإفضالِ فينا قعودُهُ

وللفضلِ والإفضالِ فينا قعودُهُ

And may you celebrate Eid, O you whose standing serves noble pursuits,

You have celebrated, O you whose standing is nobility

And whose sitting among us serves excellence and generosity,

And whose sitting among us is generosity and favor

يأيمنِ إهلالٍ وأسْعَدِ طالعٍ

يأيمنِ إهلالٍ وأسْعَدِ طالعٍ

وأكْمَلِ إقبالٍ يليهِ خلودُهُ

وأكْمَلِ إقبالٍ يليهِ خلودُهُ

With the most auspicious appearance of the crescent and the most fortunate ascendant,

O most blessed fortune and happiest fate

And the fullest prosperity, followed by its eternal continuance.

And most perfect prosperity followed by eternity
