الجُود يحْكم في ارتياحكْ

الجُود يحْكم في ارتياحكْ

والغيث يعجب من سماحكْ

والغيث يعجب من سماحكْ

Generosity governs your delight,

And the rain marvels at your bounty.

والرزق مَبسوط لنا

والرزق مَبسوط لنا

يا ذهلُ من باب امتناحك

يا ذهلُ من باب امتناحك

And sustenance is spread before us,

O Dhuhl, from your door, where gifts are sought.

وتجود عفواً بالنّضار

وتجود عفواً بالنّضار

وبالّلجين وأنَ ضَاحكْ

وبالّلجين وأنَ ضَاحكْ

And, unasked, you give pure gold,

And silver, while you smile.

ودمُ الأعادي يُمتَرى

ودمُ الأعادي يُمتَرى

بشَبا سيوفك أو رماحِكْ

بشَبا سيوفك أو رماحِكْ

And the blood of foes is milked

By the keen edges of your swords or spears.

والمجدُ يغدو أويروحُ

والمجدُ يغدو أويروحُ

على غدوّك أو رواحكْ

على غدوّك أو رواحكْ

And glory goes forth at morn or eve,

In step with your morning or evening journeys,

لعُلوَ فضْلِك وانتطاقك

لعُلوَ فضْلِك وانتطاقك

بالفضائل واتّشاحكْ

بالفضائل واتّشاحكْ

For your lofty merit, and your girding yourself

With virtues and wearing them as a mantle.

ومن السّعادة عندنا

ومن السّعادة عندنا

أنّا بُعثنا لامتداحك

أنّا بُعثنا لامتداحك

And we count among our blessings

That we were sent to praise you.

فاسلْم أبا حسن عزيزاً

فاسلْم أبا حسن عزيزاً

في مسائك أو صباحكْ

في مسائك أو صباحكْ

So remain safe and honored, Abu Hasan,

In your evenings or your mornings.
