The prayer for rain in times of devastating drought:

If you seek refuge, here it is, set out in verse.

So they go out in worn-out clothes,

Each humbled before the One who created him.

And on foot they return by one road,

Just as they go out by another, as for Eid.

It is two prayer units, recited aloud; after those two,

You deliver sermons on the ground, as for Eid.

He replaces proclamations of God's greatness with pleas for forgiveness,

Along with supplication to his Lord, the All-Forgiving.

At the sermon's end, he turns to face

His direction of prayer, and turns his cloak around.

And the men do the same while seated.

Fasting for three days and giving alms suffice you.
