    An eclipse of the sun is called kusūf, and khusūf

    is for the moon. As for the solar-eclipse prayer,

    لَهَا والرُّكُوعُ مَرَّتَان

    if you wish to perform it, it consists of two prayer units;

    for it, bowing is performed twice.

    From noon to the forenoon—so take heed.

    There is neither a call to prayer nor a commencement call for it.

    As for the lunar eclipse, its prayer is not congregational.

    Perform it two prayer units at a time.

    And it was said: in homes. Mālik said:

    Its prayer is likewise in a congregational mosque.
