تَعَمَّدني بِنُصحِكَ في اِنفِرادي

تَعَمَّدني بِنُصحِكَ في اِنفِرادي

وَجَنِّبني النَصيحَةَ في الجَماعَه

وَجَنِّبني النَصيحَةَ في الجَماعَه

Seek me out with your advice when I am alone,

Advise me in private, and spare me advice amidst the crowd,

and spare me advice in a gathering.

For counsel amongst people is a kind,

فَإِنَّ النُصحَ بَينَ الناسِ نَوعٌ

فَإِنَّ النُصحَ بَينَ الناسِ نَوعٌ

مِنَ التَوبيخِ لا أَرضى اِستِماعَه

مِنَ التَوبيخِ لا أَرضى اِستِماعَه

For advice among people is a kind

Of reproof I do not wish to hear.

of rebuke I am unwilling to hear.

And if you oppose and disobey me,

وَإِن خالَفتَني وَعَصِيتَ قَولي

وَإِن خالَفتَني وَعَصِيتَ قَولي

فَلا تَجزَع إِذا لَم تُعطَ طاعَه

فَلا تَجزَع إِذا لَم تُعطَ طاعَه

And if you oppose me and disobey my words,

Then do not despair if obedience is not given.

then do not be distressed if you are not obeyed.
