أُحِبُّI love الصالِحينَthe righteous وَلَستُand I am not مِنهُمamong them
أُحِبُّ الصالِحينَ وَلَستُ مِنهُم
لَعَلّيperhaps I أَنthat أَنالَmay attain بِهِمthrough them شَفاعَهintercession
لَعَلّي أَن أَنالَ بِهِم شَفاعَه
I love the righteous, though I am not one of them;
I love the righteous, though I am not among them.
perhaps through them I may attain intercession.
Perhaps through them I may gain intercession.
وَأَكرَهُand I dislike مَنwhoever تِجارَتُهُhis trade المَعاصيsins
وَأَكرَهُ مَن تِجارَتُهُ المَعاصي
وَلَوeven if كُنّاwe are سَواءًalike فيin البِضاعَهthe wares
وَلَو كُنّا سَواءً في البِضاعَه
I detest the one whose trade is transgression,
And I dislike anyone whose trade is sin,
even if our wares are the same.
Even if we are alike in our wares.
