لا تَحمِلَّنَّ لِمَن يَمَنُّ

لا تَحمِلَّنَّ لِمَن يَمَنُّ

مِنَ الأَنامِ عَلَيكَ مِنَّه

مِنَ الأَنامِ عَلَيكَ مِنَّه

Never be beholden to anyone who,

Do not carry for those who are kind to you

among humankind, holds a favor over you.

Any burden from people upon yourself

وَاِختَر لِنَفسِكَ حَظَّها

وَاِختَر لِنَفسِكَ حَظَّها

وَاِصبِر فَإِنَّ الصَبرَ جُنَّه

وَاِصبِر فَإِنَّ الصَبرَ جُنَّه

And choose for yourself your share,

And choose for yourself its share

and be patient, for patience is a shield.

And be patient, for patience is its paradise

مِنَنُ الرِجالِ عَلى القُلو

مِنَنُ الرِجالِ عَلى القُلو

بِ أَشَدُّ مِن وَقعِ الأَسِنَّه

بِ أَشَدُّ مِن وَقعِ الأَسِنَّه

The kindness of men on hearts

are harsher than the impact of spearheads.
