وَهْناً فأورثنا هَمّاً وتَسهادا
Your phantom visited us, Hannād,
Imagination came to us from you here brisk and gentle,
Late at night, leaving us grief and sleeplessness.
And so brought us anxiety and sleeplessness.

My heart swoons for you - nay, it flies or almost does.

But my eye's tears welled up or flowed freely.
Except the water in my eyes wavered or overflowed.
