برئتُ إلى الإلهِ من ابن أروَى

برئتُ إلى الإلهِ من ابن أروَى

ومن دينِ الخوارجِ أجمعينا

ومن دينِ الخوارجِ أجمعينا

Before God, I have renounced the son of Arwā,

I am innocent before God of Ibn Arwa

and the religion of all the Kharijites.

ومن فُعَلٍ برئتُ ومن فَعْيلٍ

ومن فُعَلٍ برئتُ ومن فَعْيلٍ

غداةَ دُعِي أميرَ المؤمنينا

غداةَ دُعِي أميرَ المؤمنينا

And I have renounced Fuʿal and Faʿīl,

Of all deeds I am innocent, and all sayings

on the morning he was called Commander of the Faithful.

The morning the Commander of the Faithful was called
