When night hastened in its retreat,

and dawn's light gleamed from its rear,

his left hand bearing it upon his glove—

a guarantor of provisions, diligent in securing them,

a valiant one whose exaltation means the birds' abasement.

    يُبادِرُ الفُرصةَ في انتهازِه

    His peers shrink from facing him in single combat;

he hastens to seize the opportunity.

and snatched from him the embroidered fabric among his finery.

So, in passing, before the rush, he caught

fifty birds, which we secured through his capture of them.

No kindness was ever bestowed on him that he did not repay,

nor did his promise ever go unfulfilled.
