Joy's herald summoned us to revelry.
The caller of joy has called us to revelry
So we spent the night confiding what lay in our breasts.
So we remain, pouring out what’s in our hearts

And she went round among us with the sun of the wine jars,
The sun of religion has circled around us
in the night's darkness—the sun of curtained chambers.
In the darkness of night, the sun of cheeks shines

As though the cups, already crowned
As if the cups, now crowned
with their remnants as garlands of light,
With their overflowing, with crowns of light
