هاتِbring التيthat which هيَit is يومَon the day of البَعثِthe Resurrection أوزارُburdens of sin
كالنارِlike fire فيin الحُسْنِbeauty عُقبىthe outcome of شُربِهاdrinking it النارُthe Fire
Bring me that which will be a burden of sin on Resurrection Day,
The burdens on Resurrection Day are like fire
Like fire in beauty—drinking it ends in the Fire.
Whose end is fire, though pleasant is its drinking.
أماdo ... not? تَرىyou see الوَردَthe rose قدindeed باحdisclosed الرَّبيعُspring بهabout it
منfrom بعدِafter ماthat مرَّpassed حَوْلٌa year وهوwhile it was إضمارُconcealment
Do you not see the rose that spring has revealed,
Do you not see how the rose has bloomed with spring?
After a year had passed while it lay concealed?
After a cycle it was concealed and folded.
وكانَand it was فيin خِلَعٍrobes خُضْرٍgreen فقدso indeed خُلِعَتhave been cast off

And it wore green robes, which have now been cast off,
It was clothed in a green robe, but it has doffed
Save for loops forgotten on it, and buttons.
Them, till nothing remains on it but petals.
