Ah, many a body is all eyes,

With inner eye-corners that have no sockets.

It conceals the thing from you, though it is visible.

    Beloved are its treacherous ways.

When the swelling depths don it,

And restless water, mirror-like, enfolds it,

With it come jewels of sustenance:

Small ones that flash, or large ones,

As though, when the beholder turns toward them,

They were storehouses of silver, or daggers.
