وشاح من أحببته قال لي

وهو الذي في قوله قد صدق

The sash of the one I loved said to me,

The scarf of the one I loved said to me

and it was indeed truthful in what it said:

And he who spoke truthfully said

قد ضاع مني الخصر لما انثنى

أما تراني دائماً في قلق

“The waist was lost to me when he swayed;

Don't you see me always anxious
