  1. قد جهل العاذل حسن الذي

    أهواه مثل البدر في التم

    The reproacher was ignorant of the beauty of the one

    I love, who is like the moon in its fullness,

  2. حتى استفاد العلم من جفنه

    وصدغه بالحد والرسم

    until he gained knowledge from his eyelid

    and his temple-lock, through definition and description.
