Roses from the earth around her grave

The east wind's breeze has grown fragrant with their scent.

The morning breeze spreads their sweet perfume

هذي محاسن ذاك الوجه غيرها

هذي محاسن ذاك الوجه غيرها

بطن الثرى فاستحالت فوقه زهرا

بطن الثرى فاستحالت فوقه زهرا

These are the beauties of that face, which were transformed

Such were the features of her lovely face

By the earth's belly, and so became blossoms above it.
