فعطفك هذا ليس يعرفه قد

Is that your figure, or a branch swaying with the east wind?

Your stature is like a branch bending with the breeze

For no figure knows this sway of yours.

Such grace as this, form knows naught

وليس بردفٍ تحت خصرٍ كما أرى

ولكن هذا ربوةٌ فوقها وهد

And what I see is no rump beneath a waist,

It is no knoll beneath the hips that I see

but this is a hillock with a hollow above it.

But a hill above which lies a valley
