I pass the night with a verdant garden woven of darkness,

I pass the night with a lush garden of darkness,

where nothing but the radiant stars are its blossoms.

And there, its flowers are only the radiant stars.

فيا ليت أنهارَ النهار تفجرت

وسال بها من جانب الشرق فجره

Would that the rivers of day might burst forth,
