يقول لما قلت هذا اللمى

أسكرني لما ترشفت فاك

أسكرني لما ترشفت فاك

He says, when I said, “This dusky hue of the lips

When I said this touch intoxicated me,

intoxicated me when I sipped your mouth,”

I was drunk when I sipped your wine.

سواك ما ذاق لمى مبسمي

سواك ما ذاق لمى مبسمي

أستغفر الله ذكرت السواك

أستغفر الله ذكرت السواك

“None but you has tasted the dusky hue of my smiling mouth—

None but you has tasted my lips’ nectar.

I seek God’s forgiveness! I remembered the tooth-cleaning twig.”

I ask God’s forgiveness for remembering that.
