وحقك ما حصلت ذا من حبا الحبا

The young man, grown rich after begging, says:

He said, after afflicting the young man with toil,

By your honor, I did not gain this from gifts of bounty.

By your right, I did not gain this from gifts

ولكن رأيت المال للنفس حضرةً

ولكن رأيت المال للنفس حضرةً

فأصبحت أجني زهره من ربا الربا

فأصبحت أجني زهره من ربا الربا

But I saw wealth as a presence for the soul,

But I saw wealth as a shield for the soul

So I began gathering its blossoms from the hills of usury.

So I began to reap its flower from the harvest of harvests
