Sol 6.1

  1. أتاني وقد أودى السهادُ بناظري

    يمزق جنح الليل بارقُ فيهِ

    He came to me when sleeplessness had ravaged my sight,

    the lightning of his mouth rending the darkness of night.

  2. فقلت له يا طيب الأصل هكذا

    أخذت الكرى مني وعيني فيه

    So I said to him, “O noble-born one, is this how

    you have taken sleep from me, while my eye is on it?”
