هَلare there? مِنany مَعاشِرَclans غَيرِكُمother than you أَدعوهُمُI call upon them
هَل مِن مَعاشِرَ غَيرِكُم أَدعوهُمُ
فَلَقَدfor indeed سَإِمتُI have grown weary دُعاءَthe cry ياO لَكِلابِKilab, to the rescue
فَلَقَد سَإِمتُ دُعاءَ يا لَكِلابِ
Are there any clans besides you whom I may call upon?
For I have grown weary of crying, 'O Kilab, to the rescue!'
وَلَقَدand indeed لَحَنتُI hinted لَكُمto you لِكَيماso that تَفهمواyou understand
وَلَقَد لَحَنتُ لَكُم لِكَيما تَفهموا
وَوَحَيتُand I signaled وَحياًa signal لَيسَis not بِالمُرتابِopen to doubt
وَوَحَيتُ وَحياً لَيسَ بِالمُرتابِ
And indeed I have hinted to you, so that you might understand,
and given a signal that leaves no doubt,
مِنfrom وَسَطِthe midst جَمعِthe gathering بَنيthe sons of قُرَيطٍQurayt بَعدَماafter
مِن وَسَطِ جَمعِ بَني قُرَيطٍ بَعدَما
هَتَفَتcried out رَبيعَةُRabi‘ah يابَنيO sons of جَوّابِJawwab
هَتَفَت رَبيعَةُ يابَني جَوّابِ
from the midst of the gathering of Banu Qurayt, after
Rabi‘ah cried out, 'O sons of Jawwab!'
