وَهَلْand are ...? أنْتُمُyou (plural) إلاَّanything but كَأبْنَاءِlike the sons of نَهْشَلِNahshal
وَهَلْ أنْتُمُ إلاَّ كَأبْنَاءِ نَهْشَلِ
وآلِand the clan of فُقَيْمٍFuqaym قُتِّلُواthey were slaughtered وَمُجَاشِعِand Mujashiʿ
وآلِ فُقَيْمٍ قُتِّلُوا وَمُجَاشِعِ
And are you not just like the sons of Nahshal,
And the clans of Fuqaym and Mujashiʿ, who were slaughtered
بِذَنْبِfor the offense of سُوَيْدSuwayd وَهْوَwhile he مِنْfrom آلِthe clan of دَارِمٍDarim
بِذَنْبِ سُوَيْد وَهْوَ مِنْ آلِ دَارِمٍ
لِزَيدِagainst Zayd بْنِson of عَبْدِservant of اللهِGod والأمْرُand the matter جَامِعall-encompassing
لِزَيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ والأمْرُ جَامِع
For Suwayd’s offense—he was of the clan of Darim—
