ببيض الهند والأسل الحداد

أرجي إن يتمم لي مرادي

With the white swords of India and sharp spears,

With the white steel of India and sharp sword,

I hope that, if my wish is fulfilled for me,

I hope my desires will be fulfilled,

فأبلغ بغيتي وأريح نفسي

فأبلغ بغيتي وأريح نفسي

وتحمد حالتي في كل ناد

وتحمد حالتي في كل ناد

Then I shall attain my aim and put my soul at ease,

So I can attain my goal and rest my soul,

And my condition will be praised in every gathering.

And my state will be praised in every club,

فمغنى الدهر في قتل الأعادي

فمغنى الدهر في قتل الأعادي

وحسم رقابهم في كل واد

وحسم رقابهم في كل واد

For life's gain lies in killing enemies

For the melody of time is killing enemies

And severing their necks in every valley.

And severing their necks in every valley,

فذاك الفرض والرحمن عندي

فذاك الفرض والرحمن عندي

كمثل الفرض في حال الجهاد

كمثل الفرض في حال الجهاد

For that, by the Merciful, is a duty in my view,

So this obligation is to me like God is with me,

Just like the duty in a time of jihad.

As an obligation in the state of holy war.
