أَكِدنا وَمَن أَرسى ثَبيراً مَكانَهُ

أَكِدنا وَمَن أَرسى ثَبيراً مَكانَهُ

يُسالُ بِنا لَولا أُتينا المُهَلَّبُ

يُسالُ بِنا لَولا أُتينا المُهَلَّبُ

Would we almost—by Him who anchored Thabīr in its place—

We asserted, and he who pitched his tent in its place

have been swept away, had we not come to al-Muhallab?

Would be asked about us, had we not come to destruction
