And a young man's best manner of speech is the most measured,
The best of a young man's states in speech are the most balanced,
The best course for a man in speech is the moderate path,
Between the two paths: neither inarticulacy nor prattle.
Between verbosity and taciturnity, neither talkative nor terse.
Between the two ways: neither inarticulate nor full of prattle.

قَد يَكثُر المالُ وَالإِنسان مفتَقِر
Life is no life save what you are content with;
Life is not life save what you are content with,
Life is not truly life except for that with which you are content,
Wealth may abound while a person remains in need.
Wealth may abound yet man remains needy.
For wealth may abound, yet the man remains impoverished.
