And the bough of affection, if watered

by the cloud of attentive care, will not wither.

Am I to thirst at a watering place of your bounty,

while another receives a second draught, and I have not had my first?

For you have put me off, while all people

graze upon your most abundant bounty.

So it is with the camel bearing heavy loads,

when it is said to be too weary to carry the burden.

So here I am, like the shunned camel:

I have grown heavy, yet am not deemed burdensome.

I shall praise you in both circumstances,

as I would a gracious benefactor,

because you are my adornment in prosperity,

and in my hardship you are my stronghold.
