Rise, pour me its clear draught, my friend, and the cloudy too—
Pour me a cup, my friend, of purest wine,
wine that drives away sorrows and cares.
A draught to banish sorrow and thought;
وياand O نَديميmy drinking companion تنَبَّهْwake up إنّماonly سَكَنيmy solace

And O my drinking companion, wake up: my only solace
And you, my boon companion, awake, for I
is one who, for love of pure wine, finds no sweetness in sleep.
Find no joy in talk that leads nowhere.
