والصُّمُّ في عُنصُرِ الإفساد حاسِدةٌ

والصُّمُّ في عُنصُرِ الإفساد حاسِدةٌ

بصِحّةِ السَّمْع خُلْداً ما له بَصرُ

بصِحّةِ السَّمْع خُلْداً ما له بَصرُ

And the deaf, in their corrupt nature, are envious

Deafness in the element of corruption is envious,

of a mole for its sound hearing, though it has no sight.

With the health of hearing, it has no eternal vision.
