لَو كُنتَ تَعلَمُ ما أَقولُ عَذَرتَني

لَو كُنتَ تَعلَمُ ما أَقولُ عَذَرتَني

أَو كُنتَ تَعلَمُ ما تَقولُ عَذَلتُكا

أَو كُنتَ تَعلَمُ ما تَقولُ عَذَلتُكا

If you understood what I say, you would excuse me.

If you knew what I was saying, you would excuse me

Or if you understood what you say, I would reproach you.

Or if you knew what you were saying, I would rebuke you

لِكِن جَهِلتَ مَقالَتي فَعَذَلتَني

لِكِن جَهِلتَ مَقالَتي فَعَذَلتَني

وَعَلِمتُ أَنَّكَ جاهِلٌ فَعَذَرتُكا

وَعَلِمتُ أَنَّكَ جاهِلٌ فَعَذَرتُكا

But you did not understand my words, so you reproached me.

But you were ignorant of my words, so you rebuked me

And I knew that you were ignorant, so I excused you.
